Description: The WIE Committee enables mentoring and education programs within IEEE and make available information regarding gender related educational issues which may improve the entry into, and the retention of women in engineering programs. This involves identifying and/or initiating efforts sponsored by the IEEE to students in all grade levels, and/or identifying and/or initiating mentoring efforts to 'new' engineers. This resource is appropriate for all users, particularly for girls and women, because it addresses concerns relating to gender-bias and/or discrimination informs girls and women about activities targeted at them such as summer camps, educational programs, scholarships, internships, professional development, and professional organizations.
