Grades K-4

Topic:Plant Parts
Level: Grades 2-4
Brief Description: Students will read about plant structure, life cycle, and how to grow plants and will complete both online and offline activities. Students will make a salad, with teacher supervision.

Grades 5-8

Topic: Women's Contributions to Civil Engineering
Level: Grades 4-8
Brief Description: Students will read about and discuss the importance of bridges, which occupation is most involved in bridge construction, and females who contributed to the design and development of bridges and other structures. Students will design and build a bridge using commonly found materials.

Topic: Understanding the important role women have played in advancing medical and health knowledge
Level: Grades 4-8
Brief Description: Students will learn about important medical contributions to life, particularly by women. They will learn about important discoveries that have been made by women and explore ways of preparing for a medical career.

Grades 9-12

Topic: All about Aviation
Level: Grades 9-12
Brief Description: Students will learn about early aviators and some principles off flight. This research will help students in their construction of model airplanes or gliders. Students will read biographies of both male and female aviators and will consider how gender affected their experiences.
