Topic:All about Aviation
Level: Grades 9-12
Materials: Internet Connection, paper, pencils, materials to make
model airplanes- see individual lessons below {tape, cardboard, skewers, fan,
glue etc.}
Brief Description: Students will learn about early aviators and some
principles off flight. This research will help students in their construction
of model airplanes or gliders. Students will read biographies of both male
and female aviators and will consider how gender affected their experiences.
Standard: National Science Education Standards Content Standard E: "As
a result of activities in grades 9-12, all students should develop 1)
Abilities of technological design 2) Understandings about science and
